The Thunder Bay Prostate Cancer Support Group is a volunteer
based, non-profit organization, run by prostate cancer survivors
who help other men, and their families, diagnosed with this
disease.
The Thunder Bay Prostate Cancer Support Group is a member
of the Canadian Prostate Cancer Network (CPCN).
Our Mission
Establish and maintain an awareness program for early detection
of prostate cancer.
Provide support to prostate cancer survivors and their families.
Establish prostate cancer support groups throughout Northwestern Ontario.
Raise money for cancer research and support as finances allow.
Outreach Program
The Thunder Bay Prostate Cancer Support Group meets at 7 pm
on the third Thursday of every month at the 55+ Centre, 700 River
Street, Thunder Bay. Up-to-date information on prostate cancer, its
diagnosis, treatment, and side effects is provided by medical
professionals. Meetings also provide an opportunity to obtain and
share information with others who have a shared experience.
Volunteers are prepared to visit in the hospital, the home or by
phone.
An excellent awareness program providing an overview of prostate cancer
is available for community groups.
